What is Interbrand?
Interbrand announced its Best Global Brands 2019. These are the brands that are still surviving in the most competitive environments. The annual “Best Global Brands” report was published in BusinessWeek magazine until 2009, but has been written exclusively by Interbrand since 2010. Eligible brands must be present on at least three continents and have a broad geographic reach in growth and emerging markets. In addition, 30% of sales must come from foreign countries.
Interbrand\’s most recent Best Global Brands report highlights the world\’s most valuable brands. Among them are several automakers, led by Toyota. The 100 Best Global Brands are the world\’s most valuable brands, evaluated on three dimensions: the financial performance of the brand\’s products or services, the role of the brand in the purchasing decision process, and the strength of the brand in terms of securing the company\’s future profitability.
2019 Results
Toyota was again the strongest automotive brand (7th). The value of the Japanese group is estimated at $56 billion, meaning that Toyota improved by 5%. Compared to last year.Just behind Toyota is Mercedes, whose value has also increased by 5% and now stands at $50 billion, according to Interbrand experts; BMW was found to be the third largest automaker and the 11th largest brand overall (up 1%, to $41 billion)
